As I'm sure you're all aware, our 2017 production will be the amazing Hairspray!
Expect fabulous chorus numbers, incredible hair and some of the catchiest songs you’ll ever hear all whilst addressing important issues such as inequality and racism in a 60’s America.
We can't wait to get started! Our production team has been finalised and the rehearsal venues have been booked so we can finally inform you of all the very important dates that you need to add to your diary!

We have four pre-audition rehearsals where you will all learn some songs, some choreography and a little bit of script so that you all audition with the same material. The cost of this is £5 which covers all 4 rehearsals, what a bargain!

Auditions are held in slots of 30 minutes with small groups of 3-5 people. During the pre-audition rehearsals you will be able to sign up for your preferred time with your preferred peers.

The show will then be cast that afternoon with letters being sent out letting you know if you have been successful or unsuccessful.
If you have been successful then rehearsals will commence on Thursday 23rd February at Falmouth Methodist Church. You will be required to pay subs of £40 which covers you from February through to the end of the show. When you break down this cost per rehearsal it makes us one of the cheapest theatre groups around!
Our rehearsals take place every Thursday evening from 7pm - 9.30pm at Falmouth Methodist Church. These rehearsals are compulsory for all cast members regardless of role.
From Easter onwards we will then incorporate rehearsals on a Tuesday evening at Falmouth Theatre Company. You will be informed each week as to who will need to attend these rehearsals; sometimes it will be a full cast call, sometimes it will be just a few lead roles, sometimes it will be a small group of chorus... etc etc.
The show will take place from Tuesday 1st to Saturday 5th August at The Poly, Falmouth.
The week before the show is very full on and jam packed with rehearsals! Make sure you rest up because there's nothing worse than feeling exhausted before the show has even begun! We will have a rehearsal all day and evening on Sunday 30th July (with snack/dinner breaks of course!) and a full dress rehearsal on the evening of Monday 31st July.
We cannot stress enough how important it is that you attend rehearsals. If you are unable to attend rehearsal for some reason then please give plenty of notice so that we can plan ahead.
